Words: Just Minted

Binge-watching

Have you ever watched an entire season of ‘Breaking Bad’ or ‘House of Cards’ on Netflix at one go?  That’s binge-watching.

Binge-watch:

to watch multiple episodes of a television programme in rapid succession, typically by means of DVDs or digital streaming; in other words, marathon viewing of several or entire seasons of shows.

You may be sleep-deprived, you may be procrastinating, you may end up spending an entire Sunday glued to your sofa if you binge-watch. But it is difficult, it seems, to not to give in to the temptation, with Netflix, Amazon and all uploading all episodes of an entire season online.

NOTE:

Binging refers to any act of immoderate indulgence. You can talk about binge-eating, binge-drinking, binge-shopping.
